SETTING THE CONDITIONS FOR SUCCESS

Albany Academy combines all aspects of the game to elevate athletes to the next level. With physical training, coaching, on-course play multiple times per week and on weekends, and targeted short game practice, the golf program provides a rigorous and disciplined schedule to help cultivate the game’s top athletes.

Using the latest technologies including a launch monitor and swing catalyst, student-athletes can assess and improve all areas of their game, which has led to the 87 tournament wins Albany Academy has captured in the past 5 years. This unrivaled winning ratio has produced winners in both boys and girls divisions at prestigious national and international championships around the world.

Albany Academy student-athletes train and play on the same championship golf course as the PGA TOUR’s Hero World Challenge, also enjoyed by some of the world’s foremost athletes, who live and play at Albany.

18-HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSE

Windswept dunes and a number of scenic and strategically challenging water features characterize Albany’s Ernie Els-designed championship, par-72 golf course, which measures 7,400 yards from the back tees. Featuring five par 3s and five par 5s, the course is accompanied by multiple sets of tees and a range of shot values and is host to PGA TOUR’s Hero World Challenge.

PRACTICE FACILITY AND GOLF PERFORMANCE CENTER

First-class practice facilities complement Albany’s golf course, including a 400-yard driving range and short game greens and chipping areas. Athletes have everything they need to bring their game to the next level. The newly designed performance center, powered by True Spec Golf, allows for heavier focus on the teaching aspects of golf with multiple hitting bays, TrackMan Range, Quintic putting green and software for golf ball analysis.

FITNESS CENTER

The gym also includes a locker and ice bath room where student-athletes can replenish there body after a long day of training.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Knowing each golfer is different, no one swing is the same and no one skill set is applicable to any one golfer, course, or tournament. Jon’s method implements a bespoke training and tracking system in developing student-athletes. Utilizing the latest technologies to capture factual data, along with playing stats and swing captures, each student is benchmarked periodically to provide evidential progression. The level of instruction, care and detail provided to each Academy Student’s development is no different from that of Jon’s PGA and LPGA Tour Professional students.

Creating well-rounded, highly-efficient, and adapt-and-overcome golfers that compete at top collegiate level as they progress to college is our driving purpose.
