Albany Academy’s student-athletes have the opportunity to customize their academic path, either online or on campus at the adjacent Windsor School.
In collaboration with AESA Academy, Windsor’s online program for student-athletes gives them the flexibility of taking online courses through the established NCAA registered institution, allowing for more time on the course and court.
As a registered Cambridge school offering IGCSE, and A Level qualifications, Windsor School also provides a rare in-class experience, giving athletes the opportunity to earn a high-quality internationally recognised education while focusing on their sport as well.
Located at Windsor School, The Lodge, a modern residence hall, provides learners and athletes with dorm-style rooms, furnished with beds, desks, wardrobes, and personal refrigerators. With Wi-Fi throughout The Lodge, after QUIPS (Study Hall), learners can study in the comfort of their rooms or socialize in the common areas centrally located on each floor.
The 50-bed Lodge is attended by house parents, whose purpose is to support, mentor, and guide lodgers; promoting a safe and healthy living experience. In addition, flexi-lodging allows learners and athletes to stay on campus for a period of less than a full school year.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AT ALBANY
At Albany, there is something for everyone, and the Albany Academy allows student-athletes and families the opportunity to experience all that Albany has to offer.
Student-athletes can enjoy fun social activities like paint balling, gatherings around Albany’s Azul Pool, barbecue cook-outs along the beach and other events to encourage relationship-building and friendships among all student-athletes.
