Student-athlete Sophie Anand competed among 144 elite players in the English Girls Amateur Championship, making the cut of just 40 competitors during the final two days of competition. Sophie’s final score landed her in 19th place, a remarkable finish as she played in Yorshire, England with summertime heat and unfavorable conditions. Sophie was impressive to watch and even BBC wanted to watch her exciting play.
